Unwinding: The Walk

It's just another day in my home city, and it's a weekend! After having to go through a long week of activities, what could be better than having sometime off for one's self, and finding refreshment in whatever way possible?

I then sought out for refreshment to help me unwind.

It Started with a Podcast

Yea, sometimes, I do enjoy listening to people talk without having to see them. I know we've been spoiled with audiovisual contents, but a podcast is something nice to enjoy while also trying to do other things.

I never had a favourite creator, so I just scrolled around the Apple podcast app and found this series on Jesus, published by Blind History. It's an interesting podcast as it tries to analyse the life of Jesus and facts about him while taking away the religious context.

Here's the description of the podcast:

Some believe he was the greatest man who ever lived, the son of God. Some historians mentioned him in passing as a Jewish rebel and philosopher. Either of those groups may be right, but we’ll never know exactly how to separate the reality from the myth of Jesus of Nazareth.
Blind History Season 6 - Apple Podcast

It was an interesting 26 minutes podcast that details on the man to whom all Christians today hold their faith.

It ended with a Long Walk

Towards the end of the day, just a bit into the evening, I head out for a walk.

This walk was significant as it was going to help me feel better. After dealing with a brief period of something, had to leave home briefly for a 0.84 mile walk.

I simply walked around my City, enjoyed the busy life of the people, the tough traffic, and the noisy town. This was helpful as I've been in a very quiet surrounding so far, so balancing it with a busy surrounding was worthwhile.

In the end

It felt good to take sometime off to relax and unwind, and at least, do something else other than work.
