Hive is Appreciating, So? The Deceit of an All-Time High
Most of us have refrained from cashing out our Hive blockchain rewards, which I presume was mostly due to the long bear period we experienced lately. The basic fact about the crypto space and the entire financial market remains this:
Bears last longer than bulls!
It is the same principle underlying life, if you are being honest with yourself, while you cannot be referred to as an unhappy person per se, in life we are more sad (or just there) than we are happy. Happiness is the bull while sadness (marked by complaints and frustrations) is the bear.
But, happily, we are in the bull stage, and remember, bulls don't last long, what should you do now? Hope that the bull becomes stronger and stronger towards an All-Time High?
Here are two options I can think of and recommend (as usual, not a financial advice, do your due diligence).
Take Profit
It will be wrong to just work unlimited number of hours without being rewarded. If you have a boss doing this, I am sure you would have quit your job by this time. But you are the one doing this to yourself? You are waiting hopelessly for when Hive will grow to the moon and cash out big. But that's entirely wrong!
This time is the time to reap rewards, treat yourself good and prepare for another long bear. So, don't be shy to withdraw some of your stored Hive if you have some, and reap the fruit of your labour to a modest degree (I don't recommend a power-down).
Also, do not feel guilty for withdrawing at any point, you may sell and the bull keeps bulling upwards, you do not need to regret, that is crypto for you. So, reap what you can when you still have the time to!
Keep Profit
When you take profit, don't just enjoy it, keep some for the bear days for reinvestment. That is a smart move!
With the current price of Hive, you can buy 2 Hives some few weeks back. So, keep profits for reinvestment. The bull run will come and go, but what stays longer? The bear run, and it is during a bear run that smart investors make smart investments!
