A Getaway - Visit to Warwick New York

Who does not love a good timeout from all the hustling and bustling of the world? Quality recreational moments away from work and thoughts about all life's challenges? It is everyone's dream!

If you aren't tired sometimes, I am! The news, the environment, the government, our workplaces, and even our neighbors are constant sources of worry.

So please, I accept the getaway. Even if I cannot make it a success now, let me dream it till I make it. So, straight to Warwick!

Disclaimer: This is about a religious getaway, something akin to religious tourism. I am just expressing my thoughts and in no way trying to influence your religious values and choices. I also do not intend to promote or discredit any religion/religious affiliations.

Why Warwick?

Warwick is a village in the United States. Though, with a quick Google search, you may find out that there is an English town sharing the same name. The search findings are significant because there is some historical connection between the English (England) people and this area, especially when you head back to the 1800s when the Americans had to struggle for independence from their English masters. Enough of the history; my main interest in Warwick lies in something more special to me.

In mid-2013, Jehovah's Witnesses officially began the construction of their world headquarters after relocating from Pennsylvania, United States in the preceding years. This project is reportedly the most important and largest construction project in the history of Jehovah's Witnesses. After years of planning and strategizing, this project officially kicked off on Monday, July 29th, 2013.

This project is unique and not like every other construction project. The plan was to use environmentally sustainable materials yet achieve a state-of-the-art facility with modern technology with the aid of volunteers from 120 countries around the world. It is almost 10 years since the start of this project, and the project has been completed already. Many have visited the new HQ and were impressed.

Why I Would Love to Visit the JW HQ in Warwick, New York

There are a lot of reasons why this getaway will be worthwhile for me:

  • First, it will be my first flight.
  • Secondly, it will be my first visit to a nation outside my home nation.
  • Thirdly, no one around me (at least to the best of my knowledge) with an interest to visit this new facility has ever succeeded. They just don't try as it is almost difficult owing to the huge financial commitment that is required (even though visiting is free, you have to convey yourself to the USA and pay for in-country commuting). So, how about going to represent them and giving them a first hand report?
  • Fourthly, the Museum of the Activities of Jehovah's Witnesses since their beginning till date seems quite interesting to me! It is something to behold firsthand.

The Museum

  • Also, the facilities here are quite interesting; the design and simplicity while speaking volumes of impressiveness, at least to my judgement, is something I will love to take pictures of first hand.

So!

Please, who is sponsoring my trip to Warwick? Don't worry, I will go and come back, I will not escape (japa).
The Warwick HQ of JW's is an important facility I hope to visit someday. An ideal getaway should culminate in numerous selfies taken within and inside the facilities.
